Unsafe Drinking Water

During a visit to the Amanakpo School in Ghana, it became apparent that in this community children lack clean drinking water.  Children at the school and community should not be drinking dirty and or contaminated water that can transmit diseases, such as cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery and even typhoid as well as so many other illnesses. The community are desperate for clean drinking water. They generally walk a relatively long distance to fetch this unsafe water, so that the children themselves can drink as needed and at play time. I cannot envisage any person having to drink such brown water.

It is important for the community to have clean safe water for their health, and furthermore this contributes immensely to poverty reduction in these parts of the country. Preventing the community from contaminating these awful
diseases and illnesses, as a result the children are at higher risk of contamination.

Help us make a difference to give clean water, and to build a bole hole or to buy water filters will be a great benefit to the school and community, we love to hear from you.
